Iconic commentator, Peter Drury waxes poetically as Ademola Lookman seals his hattrick as Atalanta demolishes Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League Final.

Lookman scored a quick-first first-half brace before sealing his hat-trick late in the second half.

The Nigeria forward ended the newly-crowned German champions’ unbeaten run with a Man of the Match display in Dublin on Wednesday evening.

His 15 goals and eight assists across competitions played a pivotal role in firing Atalanta to an unexpected European final and ensured his name will be forever remembered in the club’s history.

In a video shared on social media, Drury perfectly weaved words together to describe the night for the former England youth international. His commentary on the forward will go down as one of the best in recent times.

“Lookman sharp and on the spot,” he said after the opening goal.

“Oh, that’s a gem of a goal. What a sweet finish, pounced on his moment and nailed it into the bottom corner and Atalanta are in a sweet spot.

“Will Bayer Leverkusen comeback on Atalanta? Leverkusen have been plenty of times behind, Kings of late goals are they gonna find time again,” he said after Lookman’s net a brace.

“Lookman, glorious hatrick, the night of his life the night of his dreams he made history, Atalanta write their own history.

“Not just a hat trick… a truly picturesque hat trick.”

Meanwhile, Lookman became the first African player to score a hat-trick in the final of a European competition.
