Nigeria goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has hailed Paris FC’s Coupe de France victory as a dream come true after playing a decisive role in the club’s dramatic win over Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday.
The 24-year-old Nigerian international was the hero of the final, saving two penalties in a tense shootout to help Paris FC claim a 5-4 victory after a goalless draw in regulation time.
The win marks only the second time in the club’s history that they have lifted the prestigious French domestic cup.
“Champions of France, the journey was tough but the trophy was worth it,” Nnadozie posted on X (formerly Twitter) after the match.
“A dream come true, thanks to everyone who supported. I give God the glory.”
Nnadozie’s commanding performance between the sticks earned widespread praise and further fuelled speculation about her future, with reports linking her to a possible summer move to English Women’s Super League (WSL) side, Everton.
Her impact throughout the season has made her a standout figure in French football, and her latest achievement adds to an already impressive résumé as she continues to shine for both club and country.
