Unuanel: Remo Stars Can Follow Enyimba’s Success in CAF Champions League

Former coach Samson Unuanel of Kwara United believes Remo Stars can match Enyimba’s achievement in the CAF Champions League. Enyimba remains the only Nigerian club to have won the competition twice.

With Remo Stars set to represent Nigeria after securing the NPFL title last weekend, Unuanel told Completesports.com that the Sky Blue Stars have the potential to emulate Enyimba in the tournament.

He congratulated Remo Stars on their league victory, noting that it shows Nigeria’s league is improving. It is creating new champions.

Unuanel added that he believes Remo Stars can achieve what Enyimba did, despite this being their first appearance.

He said their success in the league was not accidental. It was the result of hard work and dedication from the players and coaching staff.

The People’s Elephant won the CAF Champions League in 2003 and 2004.
