Abia Warriors midfielder, Elu Wilson, is gearing up for a challenging encounter as his side takes on Rivers United in their Matchday 13 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) fixture on Sunday.
Having visited the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium with various NPFL clubs in the past, Wilson is well-acquainted with the venue and is optimistic about securing a positive result for the “Umu Chineke” side.
In their previous match, Abia Warriors battled back to earn a 1-1 draw against Enyimba, showing resilience by equalizing after falling behind.
Wilson believes that the Imama Amapakabo-led team can replicate that fighting spirit in Port Harcourt and secure a good result.
“It’s something that we’ve always spoken to ourselves about, it’s in us. We just have to put it out again,” Wilson stated.
He added, “I think it’s that performance we always have to put out all the time. I believe we can still put out that performance. We look towards winning all the games we approach. So, I think it’s going to be a dicey game, but we would come out victorious.”
With confidence and determination, Abia Warriors will be aiming for a crucial win in what promises to be a tough test against Rivers United.
