Players and officials of Nigeria U-17 girls arrived the City of Bhubaneswar where they will play their last Group match against Chile on Monday.

The Flamingos have settled down at Vivanta hotel ahead of the deciding Group B game in the ongoing FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in India.

The Nigerians suffered a losing start with a narrow 2-1 defeat to Germany on Tuesday before they bounced back with a 4-0 thumping of New Zealand on Friday.

The victory gave Nigeria three precious points, and put them in good stead for qualification as they now need to focus on beating Chile on Monday afternoon at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.

A win or draw for Nigeria will seal a spot in the quarter-final of India 2022.

To top Group B, Flamingos will have to defeat Chile by a wide margin and expect Germany to lose its final group game against eliminated the Ferns.

Nigeria will likely face either the United States of America (USA) or Brazil in the quarter-final depending on the final placements in Group A and B.

A potential African derby might ensue if Nigeria tops Group B and Morocco ended up in the second position in Group A.

Morocco with three points occupy the third position in Group A and will need to defeat USA in its final group game.
