Women’s World Cup: Randy Waldrum ready to make history with Nigeria vs Ireland
By Monsurah Olatunji

After a sensational win over Australia, Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum has revealed that it is not over yet.
Nigeria came from behind against all odds to defeat the co-hosts nation Australia 3-2 in front of a packed Brisbane Stadium.
Super Falcons went top of Group B, putting them in a great position for a place in the second round ahead of their final group match against Ireland.
However, Waldrum is not ready to snooze and lose guard as he is set to become the first Nigeria coach to finish top of their group for the first time in Women’s World Cup history.
“We know there’s still work to do. So we’ll enjoy it tonight and then get our recovery going tomorrow because it was a very, very taxing game on us physically,” the American said.
“I told (the players) after the match, you know, keep believing, keep believing in yourself because great things can happen for teams when you really fight for each other.
“And it’s not always sometimes the best talent that wins. Sometimes it’s the best team, the team that works best together — and we’re enjoying the journey.”
