Wilfred Ndidi pleased with Leicester City brilliant start to Championship season

Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi is delighted with the club’s brilliant start to the English Championship.

The Super Eagles holding midfielder has been an integral part of the Foxes team in the Championship and the 26-year-old was influential in the win against Bristol City.

The Nigeria international described the progress as a brilliant start, while urging his teammates to unite and give their best when called upon to shine.

“It was a good one and important that we got the win,” Ndidi told Leicester City.

“Very, very important. It’s a good weekend for us. It’s been a brilliant start. There’s more games to go so we’ll look to the next one.

“It’s a long season so we need everybody in the team. The Manager wants everyone to be ready.

“Anyone who goes on the pitch has to give 100 per cent, so as a team, we understand the philosophy. We understand it’s a long season and we’re all ready for it.”

The Foxes returned to the familiar position to top the English Championship table.
