Akor Adams Draws Interest Across Europe as Sevilla Weigh Summer Sale

Nigeria striker Akor Adams is attracting significant interest from clubs across Europe, with Sevilla reportedly considering a summer transfer as they look to improve their financial situation.
The Spanish side are currently undergoing a major restructuring under manager Luis Plaza following a challenging campaign marked by financial difficulties and a battle against relegation. Sevilla narrowly retained their La Liga status, finishing just three points above the relegation zone.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, Adams has become one of Sevilla’s most sought-after players in the transfer market despite arriving at the club only in January 2025.
While the Nigerian forward still has three years remaining on his contract, Sevilla are said to be willing to listen to offers as they seek to comply with La Liga’s financial regulations and strengthen their economic position.
The club have reportedly placed a €20 million valuation on the 25-year-old striker — nearly four times the amount they paid to secure his services 18 months ago.
Sevilla’s strategy is believed to involve generating a substantial profit from Adams’ sale, signing a more affordable replacement and using part of the transfer fee to ease ongoing financial pressures.
Adams has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with newly promoted Sunderland among the clubs reportedly keeping tabs on his situation.
Spanish outlet Vamos Sevilla has also claimed that several Serie A teams are monitoring the striker following his impressive performances in Spain. French giants Olympique Marseille have likewise been credited with interest, although no formal approach has been made.
In addition, clubs from Saudi Arabia are understood to have made enquiries about the Nigerian international’s availability. However, Adams is believed to prefer continuing his career in Europe, making a move to the Middle East unlikely at this stage.
If Sevilla succeed in selling Adams for their reported asking price, the transfer would rank as the third-highest sale in the club’s history, behind Jules Kounde’s €50 million move to Barcelona and Diego Carlos’ €31 million transfer to Aston Villa.
The final decision now rests with Sevilla, who must determine whether Adams should remain a key figure in their rebuilding project or be sold to help address the club’s financial challenges.
