Fatai Amoo Backs Ademola Lookman to Shine at Atlético Madrid

Former Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) coach, Fatai Amoo has expressed strong confidence that Ademola Lookman will develop into a key figure for Atlético Madrid in the coming season.

Amoo made the comments following Lookman’s impressive performances since joining the Spanish club during the January transfer window.

The Super Eagles winger has made a strong early impact, scoring nine goals across all competitions, with decisive contributions in La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the UEFA Champions League.

Speaking to Completesports.com, Amoo said Lookman has quickly adapted to Spanish football and believes his best performances are still ahead of him.

“I have no doubt that Lookman will succeed in La Liga, going by what he has done at Atalanta,” Amoo said.

He added that the winger’s seamless adjustment to Atlético Madrid is a clear sign of his quality and versatility.

“I am also not surprised by his impressive display for Atletico Madrid despite arriving in the January transfer window. He has indeed shown that he can excel in any league, and based on what he has done this season for Atletico Madrid, I believe his best will be on display when the new season commences.”

Lookman’s form has further strengthened his reputation as one of Nigeria’s most consistent attacking threats in European football.
