“Ahmed Musa Believes CSKA Moscow Remain Strong Contenders for Russian Premier League Crown”
Nigeria’s forward Ahmed Musa, currently on loan from Leicester City to CSKA Moscow, is optimistic about the club’s prospects in the ongoing Russian Premier League title race. Despite trailing league leaders Lokomotiv Moscow by 10 points with 10 matches left in the season, Musa remains bullish about CSKA’s chances.
Expressing his confidence, Musa conveyed to the club’s official website, “I think we are in a good position. If we can get some good results in those games we would be in a really good position.”
Reflecting on CSKA’s history of remarkable turnarounds, the Super Eagles star highlighted past instances where the team overcame similar challenges, stating, “You can never write CSKA off. If you remember, we had a challenge like that some years ago, and we came from behind to win the league.”
Acknowledging the arduous nature of the task ahead, Musa emphasized the importance of unwavering dedication and hard work. “This would be tough. We need to keep ourselves working very hard and we will see at the end of the season where we end up,” he remarked, underscoring the need for relentless commitment to achieve their ambitions.
Having returned to CSKA Moscow after a stint in England that didn’t yield desired results, Musa expressed his enthusiasm at being back with the club, eager to contribute to their pursuit of silverware in the league.
Musa’s belief in the team’s potential to stage a comeback echoes a sentiment rooted in determination and resilience, echoing CSKA’s capacity to defy odds. As the Russian Premier League reaches its climax, Musa’s aspirations align with CSKA’s quest for a stunning resurgence to clinch the title once again.
