Chikelue Iloenyosi has been re-elected as Chairman of the Anambra State Football Association after receiving all 23 votes cast at the association’s elective congress.
The former Nigeria defender secured a unanimous 23-0 victory, underscoring the strong confidence Anambra football stakeholders have in his leadership and vision for the game.
Iloenyosi’s re-election guarantees continuity in the administration of football in the state as he begins a new term. He is expected to build on the achievements of his previous tenure, with a renewed focus on strengthening grassroots football development, improving football structures, and creating more opportunities for young talents across Anambra.
Beyond his state role, Iloenyosi has also declared his intention to contest for the South East representative seat on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Executive Board in the federation’s elections scheduled for September. His bid is expected to further expand his contribution to football administration at the national level.
