Diepreye Teibowei poised to guide Bayelsa United past Niger Tornadoes

Head Coach of Bayelsa United, Diepreye Teibowei insists it’s not over yet as his side seek to finish on a high against Niger Tornadoes in their final day tie of the current Nigeria Premier Football League regular season on Sunday.
The Yenegoa-based side are three points and a place above relegation zone ahead of their face off with the Minna boys and the tactician is leaving anything to chance following the uncertainty around their three points deduction.
“They (Wiki Tourist) have 15 points and we have 18 points. If they win and we lose, we wait for the three points deducted from us,” Teibowei told Brila FM.
“As it is, we have to win Niger Tornadoes at home. We know that we are going to win by God’s grace.
“The IMC has not confirmed the return of our three points. They returned three points to Wikki Tourist and Remo Stars but have not returned ours.”
Bayelsa United has won three of its last five games and is in form ahead of Sunday’s clash with Niger Tornadoes.
Niger Tornadoes have won one of its last five games and a win for the host will guarantee their place in the NPFL for another season after promotion from the Nigeria National League (NNL).
