Iliyasu Sports BSC celebrate first 2023 Kebbi Beach Soccer League title

Iliyasu Sports BSC on Saturday were crowned 2023 Kebbi Beach Soccer League (KBSL) after its third successive win in the season-ending Super Four.
The Badariya-based side defeated Dallatun Kalgo BSC 3-1 to win its third game and the team had to come from behind after Ila Yaro’s goal for Dallatun Kalgo BSC in the first period.
Usman Mohammed scored two goals for the club alongside Frank Agbo in the second and third periods ensuring that Iliyasu Sports BSC claimed the title.
Marshal Academy BSC finished in second position after securing a 7-3 win over Magatakarda BSC. Samaila Ibrahim scored two goals alongside Malili Jazuli who also scored a brace for Jega-based side with Usmani Bello (brace) and Sadiq Umar putting the ball at the back of the net for Magatakarda BSC.
Magatarda BSC took third place after a win and two defeats with Dallatun Kalgo BSC without a point.
A minute silence was observed before the final match between Magatakarda BSC and Marshal Academy BSC in honour of Late Abba Bello, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bam Project, one of the major sponsors of the league.
Dallatun Kalgo BSC’s Ila Yaro won the Rising Star and highest goal scorer award with 16 goals.
Marshal Academy BSC’s Nuhu Sabi scooped the best goalkeeper prize while Usman Mohammed took home the Most Valuable Player award and Dallatun Kalgo BSC won the Fair Play Award.
Iliyasu Sports BSC is winning the league for the first time after Yab Foundation and BAM Project BSC won the first two editions.
