Wayne Rooney Praises Plymouth’s summer loan signing Muhammad Tijani

Plymouth Argyle manager Wayne Rooney has expressed his admiration for Muhammad Tijani, the summer loan signing from Slavia Prague.

Tijani impressed by scoring a sensational brace in the Pilgrims’ 5-1 thrashing of Cheltenham.

Rooney acknowledged that while Tijani has showcased his talents and qualities, there is still work to be done to develop the young Nigerian further.

He emphasized Tijani’s hard work and exceptional positioning skills, predicting that he will be a significant challenge for defenders in the upcoming season.

“We know he’s not the finished article and that’s on us to work with him and try to improve that as well,” Rooney told the Plymouth Herald. “What he is, he’s a big lad, he works hard, he’s game, and he puts himself into some really good positions to score goals.”

Rooney expressed his satisfaction with Tijani’s performance, particularly his two goals against Cheltenham, and looks forward to seeing him make a substantial impact throughout the season.

“I was really pleased with him getting the two goals and he will be a real handful for defenders during the season.”
