Kazeem Olaigbe cancels out Tolu Arokodare in Belgian Championship Playoffs

Belgium’s U21 rising star, Kazeem Olaigbe, made a significant impact coming off the bench for Cercle Brugge in their recent showdown against Jupiler Pro League contenders, Genk, during the Championship Playoffs on Saturday.
Olaigbe’s timely entrance shifted the dynamics of the game, as he brilliantly canceled out Tolu Arokodare’s opener for Genk, resulting in a 1-1 draw where neither side could clinch victory after the regulation 90 minutes.
Arokodare’s powerful header in the 18th minute showcased his prowess, bringing his season tally to an impressive 10 goals.
However, Olaigbe, born in England to Nigerian parents, exhibited tenacity and skill as he seized an opportunity in the 78th minute. His relentless pursuit of a loose ball inside the box culminated in a decisive strike, leveling the scoreline for Cercle Brugge.
With Genk currently occupying the third position in the standings, accumulating 31 points from three playoff matches, they remain in contention for a coveted UEFA Europa League spot.
