Kelly Kester: Shooting Stars’ man reveals personal target against Bendel Insurance

Shooting Stars’ midfielder, Kelly Kester assures that his team’s focus is on grounding out a win against Bendel Insurance when both meet in the Nigeria Premier Football League encounter on Sunday.
Monday Odigie’s team are the only side undefeated this season following five wins and one draw in six games and the clash will put Insurance’s aspirations to a test as they will be facing one of their age long rivals in Nigerian football.
As both Group A clubs are set to rekindle their old NPFL rivalries in the NPFL at the Lekan Salami Stadium and the 30-year-old midfielder, who is on his second spell, is upbeat about their chances of winning the duel at home.
“The game against Insurance is a very important game for us because a victory on Sunday helps us go higher on the table and takes us a step closer to our set target for the season,” Kester told NigeriaFootball.ng.
“We are not really concerned with their (Bendel Insurance) unbeaten run. All we want is just to get the victory which we’ve been training for. At least we’ve had a few more days because there’s no midweek game to try and perfect how we want to play and how the coaches want us to play.
“So we’re more focused on winning rather than ending their unbeaten run. However, for us to win means that their unbeaten run has to end, but we’re more focused on our own game than their own,” he added.
