Rumour Mills: Crystal Palace show interest in Brentford midfielder Frank Onyeka

Premier League club Crystal Palace have expressed interest in signing Nigerian international Frank Onyeka from Brentford ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to reports from Africa Foot, the Eagles have made initial enquiries as they look to bolster their midfield options for the upcoming season.

Onyeka, a defensive midfielder, is currently on loan at Bundesliga side FC Augsburg but is expected to return to Brentford at the end of the campaign.

The German club reportedly have no plans to make the loan deal permanent, opening the door for a potential move elsewhere.

Onyeka, 27, has made 26 league appearances for Augsburg this season. He joined Brentford in July 2021 from Danish club FC Midtjylland and has since made 69 Premier League appearances for the Bees, scoring one goal and registering four assists.

Crystal Palace are said to be keen on adding experience and depth to their midfield, and Onyeka has emerged as a potential target.
