Nduka Junior celebrates Remo Stars’ gritty win over Kano Pillars
Nduka Junior, the captain of Remo Stars, recounted the significance of their 2-1 comeback victory over Kano Pillars, emphasizing its impact on boosting the team’s confidence in their pursuit of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title.
The win, achieved in the Matchday 34 fixture, was crucial for the Sky Blues Stars as they continue their title chase.
Captain Junior played a pivotal role in securing the victory, scoring the decisive goal for the Ikenne-based side. He acknowledged the tough challenge posed by Kano Pillars but praised his teammates’ determination and resilience in clinching the much-needed result.
“We needed the points which was very important for us to win the game,” Junior told the club’s media. He further commended Kano Pillars for their strong performance and expressed his confidence in Remo Stars’ ability to stage a comeback and secure the win.
With this victory, Remo Stars currently sit in third position on the NPFL table with 59 points from 34 games. As they prepare to face Lobi Stars in their Matchday 35 encounter on Sunday, the team will be looking to build on this momentum and continue their push for the league title.
