NWFL Premiership: Wemimo Matthew craves for Super 6 spot after Edo Queens win

Head coach of Remo Stars Ladies, Wemimo Matthew believes the triumph over Edo Queens will spur the players to push for a Super Six playoffs spot in the Nigeria Women’s Football League Premiership this season.
The Sky Blue Stars took the Benin Arsenals to the cleaners with an impressive 2-0 win as the manager see off her former empolyers at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne.
Following the historic win, Matthew expressed excitement over guiding her side to their first ever topflight win and the elatted tactician feels her youngsters have improved positively individually and as a team.
“I feel great and I was so excited because we got our winning from one of the best clubs in the NWFL Premiership,” Matthew told Nigeriafootball.ng exclusively.
“A lot of improvement in my girls performance individually, as a group and as a team.
“Winning the game is keeping the players hope of getting a slot in the Super 6.”
Remo Stars Ladies will engage rock-bottom Sunshine Queens as Matthew will face off with her former employers at the Akure Township Stadium on Wednesday, December 20.
