Okey Kpalukwu replaces Isaac Danladi as NPFL Club Owners chairman

Rivers United general manager, Dr Okey Kpalukwu have been elected as the new chairman of the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) Club Owners Association.
The election which took place at the Sandralia hotel in Abuja produced Dr Kpalukwu as the chairman and the President of Remo Stars, Kunle Soname as chairman South and Doma United FC Alhaji Suleiman Umar as the chairman of the North region of the Club Owners.
Following his election, Kpalukwu will replace a decade-long serving Barrister Isaac Danladi,who held sway as the chairman of the NPL last until last season when his Nasarawa United side was relegated after finishing rock bottom of the NPL abridged group A.
Dr Kpalukwu promised that the new Club Owners exco will carry everyone along and fight for the course of the association.
The trio of Alhaji Umar Dominic Iorfa and Dr Kpalukwu names have been forwarded to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for membership of the yet to be constituted NPL board.
