By Monsurah Olatunji
Former Nigeria forward, Julius Aghahowa believes Morocco can beat 2010 champions Spain if they can stay calm in their approach in the Round of 16 contest at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The Atlas Lions of Morocco equaled the Super Eagles of Nigeria’s World Cup feat, following their 2-1 win against Canada in Thursday’s final group game at the ongoing tournament in Qatar.

Morocco’s win against Canada means they finish top in Group F after recording two victories and a draw and It was the second time Morocco will end a World Cup group stage as leaders, after their first  at the 1986 edition in Mexico.

Aghahowa, who was part of Super Eagles’ squad to the 2022 World Cup co-hosted by South Korea and Japan insists the North Africans must not panic against the former world champions.
“The performances of the African teams at the World Cup has shown that our game on the continent has improved,” Aghahowa told Brila FM.
“As for Morocco, I feel that they should take each game one step at a time. It will be a very difficult game for them in the round of 16. They need to be calm, don’t panic.”
