Nigeria winger Samuel Chukwueze has revealed that he would rather win a FIFA World Cup title with his West African country than three Champions League with his Italian side AC Milan.
The Nigeria international completed his five years deal to Milan from Villarreal this summer for an undisclosed fee and he will be fighting for the Rosoneri badge Group F, where they have been drawn against PSG, Borussia Dortmund, and Newcastle United in what many term to be a group of death.
The AC Milan winger has scored four times for Nigeria since he made his debut against Uganda in 2018 and will be aiming to make his 29th appearance for the Eagles when they face Sao Tome.
However, when asked whether he would prefer winning three UEFA Champions League titles or a single FIFA World Cup, the former Villareal star’s response was more than patriotic.
“I prefer one World Cup than three UCL, winning the World Cup for Nigeria,” he told Fans Tribe.
“I think it’s gonna be a crazy moment for Nigerians. I think I will not sleep for three days or a month.
“I will not pick my coach’s call at the moment because if I win the World Cup, I will not pick his calls for one month.”
