Serie A: Samuel Chukwueze reveals reasons for difficult start to life at AC Milan

Nigerian forward, Samuel Chukwueze has explained that arriving late to join AC Milan necessitated his struggle for form and playing time, Nigeriafootball.ng reports.
Chukwueze joined the Rossoneri from the Spanish LaLiga side, Villarreal towards the closing stages of the transfer window last season.
The Super Eagles’ winger had regular game times hard to come by with former coach, Stefano Pioli preferring Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic ahead of him.
“The 25-year-old was able to register only one goal in 26 league appearances for AC Milan.
Chukwueze confessed arriving late for pre-season made things difficult for him.
“I arrived late, at the end of July. It was a bit difficult to convince him (Pioli); the player in my position was scoring goals.
“I had a good relationship with Pioli; he’s a fantastic guy and a great coach,” Chukwueze was quoted by Football Italia.
The winger has being in sparkling form of recent as Milan prepare for new football season and he is expected to bring his goal scoring form and contributions to league proper.
