Despite poor start to life in the Nigeria Premier Football League season, Elkanemi Warriors defensive midfielder, Taiwo Iyanuoluwa assures his side will give their all to avoid relegation at the end of the season.
Elkanemi regained promotion back to Nigeria top-flight in 2022 but are yet hit the fine form since the start of the abridged season, languishing at the bottom of Group A table with four points from six matches.
Despite off the field issues rocking the team, Iyanuoluwa who arrived this season from Midas Football Academy insists his side’s current status is not a true reflection of their input as he is confident they will find their momentum.
“I know that we are not well placed on the table, we are also having a torrid time but I can assure you that we will get over this and stay in the league,” the defender told Brilla FM.
“We are playing good football, the team is rich in qualities and I have confidence we will start winning games, home and away.”
The Desert Scorpions will be taking on Akwa United in Maiduguri in their next NPFL encounter on Sunday.
