Turkish side announces termination of contract with Nigeria star Kayode Olanrewaju

Turkish Süper Lig side, Gençlerbirliği have terminated their contract with Nigeria playmaker, Kayode Olanrewaju.

Olanrewaju joined Gençlerbirliği last summer but couldn’t extend his stay at the club till the end of the season.

Gençlerbirliği said both parties agreed to terminate the contract which Kayode requested due to family reasons.

The club appreciated the Nigeria star for his time at the club and wish him success ahead.

“An agreement has been reached to terminate the contract between our club and our Nigerian football player Olarenwaju Ayobami Kayode, who requested to leave the team due to family reasons,” Gençlerbirliği wrote at their website.

“We would like to thank Olarenwaju Ayobami Kayode for his efforts and services to our club and wish him success in his future career.”

The 30 year old has scored four goals in 14 matches this season.
