2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers: Super Eagles camp swell to 15 players for Bafana

More players have been trooping into the camp of Nigeria’s senior men’s national team for their crunch World Cup Qualifiers against South Africa this week.

As at Sunday, 15 players have reported to the Super Eagles camp as coach Finidi George prepare to prosecute his first competitive match since his appointment as the head coach.

Leicester City duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho are the two England based players at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

They were joined by Chidozie Awaziem, ⁠Alhassan Yusuf, Fisayo Bashiru, Terem Moffi, Stanley Nwabali, Benjamin Tanimu, Ibrahim Olawoyin, Raphael Onyedika, Samuel Chukwueze, and rave of the moment Victor Boniface.

Home based trip of Sodiq Ismail, Kenneth Igboke, and Ojo Olorunleke complete the 15 players in camp.

More players are expected in camp on or before the team’s second training session on Sunday evening.

With two points from two games, George’s side take their search for their first win in the Qualifiers to Uyo where they faces South Africa.

The game will be followed by a trip to Cote D’Ivoire’s Stade Felix Houphpouet Boigny where they will trade tackles with neighbors, Benin Republic.
