Rumour Mills: Newcastle United Target Genk Striker Tolu Arokodare

Premier League side Newcastle United have opened talks to sign Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare from Belgian club Genk ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old has been in impressive form this season, scoring 20 goals and providing five assists in 38 appearances across all competitions for Genk.

According to a report from Africa Foot, Newcastle have already made initial contact with Genk regarding a potential deal. The Belgian club are reportedly demanding €17 million for the Super Eagles forward.

Arokodare previously turned down an offer from Turkish side Trabzonspor last summer, opting to remain in Belgium where he has become a key player for Genk.

Newcastle are expected to bolster their attacking options this summer as they aim to strengthen their squad for the 2025/26 campaign.
