NPFL: Why Plateau United lost to Bayelsa United in Yenagoa – Mbwa Magnut

By Wale Mustapha
Technical Adviser of Plateau United, Mbwas Magnut has attributed slow start to his unfortunate 3-2 defeat to Bayelsa United on Sunday.
The Peace Boys came late to the party with two late goals that were not enough to salvage any point in the encounter decided at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.
Mangut, however, commended his players for their positive response late in the game.
“At the beginning of the game we tend to be a little bit slow at the reverse end and the Bayelsa United team were able to take their chances,” he stated to the media.
“In the second half with little adjustments in the formation, the boys responded positively well.”
Plateau United currently occupy sixth position on the table with 51 points from 34 matches.
They will be playing Kwara United in their next game on Sunday in Jos.
