By Wale Mustapha

Plateau United’s Technical Adviser, Mbwas Magnut, has praised his players for their “eminently deserving” 2-0 victory over Elkanemi Warriors, emphasizing that the win was a result of their hard work and excellent performance.

The Peace Boys triumphed over their Borno Army of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), held in Jos on Sunday.

Goals from Emmanuel Ihezuo and Olawale Doyeni in each half secured the comfortable win for Plateau United, lifting them out of the relegation zone.

Magnut expressed relief following the victory, noting that it would serve as a motivational boost for his players moving forward in the season.

“It was a good win, and it will help motivate the team towards recovering the lost points,” Magnut told the club’s media team.

“I believe the boys deserved it because they worked for it.”

The win sees Plateau United rise to 16th in the standings with 28 points from 24 matches, providing them with a much-needed lift in their fight to avoid relegation.
