By Oluwadamilola Olaleye

Czech First League side České Budějovice Dynamo have confirmed the signing of 21-year-old Nigerian forward Olamilekan Adams, as the club looks to reinforce its attacking options ahead of the second half of the season.

Adams joins from Nigerian Premier League side Remo Stars, where his standout performances attracted attention both locally and abroad. He previously began his professional career with Lobi Stars before making the move to Remo.

The dynamic winger was also part of Nigeria’s squad at the 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations, where he helped the Flying Eagles secure a bronze medal.

Speaking on the transfer, České Budějovice’s sporting director Michaël Michée praised the forward’s potential.

“Olamilekan is a young striker with athletic ability and good ball control. His dominant feature is movement in the penalty area. He’s another offensive asset for the team,” Michée said.

Adams expressed excitement over the move, describing it as a major step in his career.

“I am extremely happy and proud to be joining Dynamo. It is a big step in my career. I want to prove what I have. There are many challenges ahead, and I believe I can help the team achieve its goals.”

The move marks Adams’ first foray into European football, as he begins a new chapter in South Bohemia with a club aiming to climb the Czech league table.
