Millwall Reject £20m Ipswich Bid for Super Eagles Star Femi Azeez

Millwall have reportedly rejected a £20 million bid from Ipswich Town for Nigeria forward Femi Azeez following his outstanding season in the Championship.

The 24-year-old Nigerian international remains under contract at The Den until 2028 and has attracted growing interest after an impressive campaign in which he scored 11 goals and provided seven assists.

Azeez further boosted his reputation on the international stage after making a dream Super Eagles debut in Nigeria’s 2-0 victory over Zimbabwe in the Unity Cup semi-final, scoring both goals to send Eric Chelle’s side into the final.

According to reports, Millwall are holding out for a fee closer to £30 million due to the forward’s age, current form, and long-term contract situation.

Ipswich Town are eager to strengthen their attacking options after securing promotion back to the Premier League, with manager Kieran McKenna looking to build a squad capable of surviving in the top flight.

However, the newly promoted side are not alone in the race for Azeez’s signature.

Premier League clubs Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, and Sunderland have also been linked with the highly-rated forward as interest in the Nigerian star continues to grow.

Azeez’s combination of pace, creativity, and finishing ability has made him one of the most sought-after attacking players ahead of the summer transfer window.
