Stellenbosch Assess Super Eagles Defender Olisa Ndah After Pirates Exit

South African side Stellenbosch FC are currently assessing Nigeria defender Olisa Ndah following his departure from Orlando Pirates during the recent transfer window.

The 28-year-old centre-back made 81 appearances for the Buccaneers, becoming a fan favourite during his time at the Soweto-based club. However, his stint in Johannesburg was hampered by recurring injury problems.

Ndah enjoyed notable success with Pirates, winning two Nedbank Cup titles before both parties mutually agreed to part ways in the last transfer window.

The Nigerian international had recently been linked with a move to Libyan outfit Al Shomooa, with reports suggesting last week that a deal was close.

However, Stellenbosch have now emerged as a potential destination. The club is reportedly monitoring Ndah’s fitness and overall condition as part of its evaluation process ahead of a possible move.

A final decision on the defender’s future is expected in the coming days as Stellenbosch conclude their assessment.

Should the move materialise, Ndah would remain in South Africa’s top flight while seeking to revive his momentum and strengthen his case for continued involvement with the Super Eagles.
