Dominion Ohaka: Water FC star’s quality earns praise from U20 coach Ladan Bosso

By Wale Mustapha

One of the new additions to Nigeria U20 men’ national team  is Water FC defender, Dominion Ohaka and he has being an instant revelation since his arrival.

The towering center back has impressed everyone around the team, notably the team’s head coach, Ladan Bosso.

Ohaka began his meteoric rise and prominence with the U23s and also featured for the home-based Super Eagles in a friendly against World Cup finalists Costa Rica recently.

His addition to the U20 set up ahead of next year’s AFCON is giving an assurance of a better outing for Flying Eagles, one which Bosso rates high.

“He has great quality and he can play both at right and left back positions, he’s positive plus for the team and I see him giving us more confidence in that area.

“This means I can now pick an attacking player and not another defender on the final squad because of his multiple qualities,” Bosso said.

Ohaka has played in all the three tune up games with the Flying Eagles where they scored 16 goals and conceded none.

Emmanuel Justine, Obiakor Ifesinachi, Abdulrahman Adam, Nduka Junior and Benjamin Fredrick are the other new additions to the set up and have been excellent so far as Coach Bosso prepare for more international glory in the New Year.

The U20 African Cup of Nations, AFCON will be taking place in Cairo Egypt in 2023 where the last four teams will secure tickets to the FIFA U20 World Cup later in the year.
