Akor Adams reaches preliminary agreement with Venezia

According to Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, newly promoted Serie A side Venezia have reached a preliminary agreement on personal terms with Nigeria striker Akor Adams. The proposed deal reportedly covers wages and other contractual details, with the player said to be open to the move.

However, the transfer is far from complete. Venezia must still reach an agreement with Sevilla over a transfer fee, with the Spanish club reportedly valuing the Nigerian forward at between €20 million and €25 million—a price that could prove difficult for the newly promoted side to meet.

The Nigerian striker possesses the quality, potential, and attributes to play for a bigger club or, at the very least, a team capable of competing for European qualification.

Adams has also become an increasingly important figure for the Super Eagles under head coach Eric Chelle. Since making his debut, he has consistently impressed with his movement, work rate, and attacking intelligence, fitting seamlessly into the coach’s tactical system. His performances have made him one of Nigeria’s most reliable attacking options.

The striker enjoyed another productive campaign last season, scoring 10 league goals and providing four assists, underlining his value in the final third. He also played an important role for the Super Eagles as Nigeria secured a third-place finish and won the bronze medal at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
