Former Remo Stars head coach Daniel Ogunmodede has been unveiled as the new head coach of Kano Pillars FC, ushering in a new era for the Nigeria Premier Football League side.
Renowned as one of Nigeria’s most accomplished football tacticians, Ogunmodede joins the Sai Masu Gida following a highly successful spell at Remo Stars, where he transformed the Ikenne-based club into one of the country’s top-performing teams.
His arrival is expected to strengthen Kano Pillars’ quest to return to the summit of Nigerian football and compete consistently among the NPFL’s leading clubs.
Ogunmodede departs Remo Stars after etching his name into the club’s history by guiding them to their first-ever NPFL title. He also led the Sky Blue Stars to the CAF Champions League, earning widespread praise for his tactical acumen, commitment to player development, and attractive style of play.
As he begins his new challenge in Kano, supporters and stakeholders will be hopeful that Ogunmodede can replicate his remarkable achievements and lead Kano Pillars back to domestic success in the seasons ahead.

His extensive experience and expertise led to his appointment to the Nigeria Football Federation's Standing Committee on Women's Football Development from 2016 to 2018.
