Anam Imo scores as Pitea maintain run against IK Uppsala

Nigeria forward, Anam Imo scored her fourth league goal of the season as Pitea secured a 4-1 win against IK Uppsala Fotboll in the Swedish Damallsvenskan on Sunday.
The host (Pitea) had been unbeaten in its last four games while Uppsala had endured last four without a win.
The unfortunate form continued as Elin Rombing put the ball into her net in the 16th minute to give Pitea the lead.
Imo in the 21st minute doubled the lead for Stellan Karlsson’s side from Tuva Skoog’s assist.
Rombing atoned for her own goal as she assisted Taryn Ries who pulled a goal back for Jonas Valfridsson’s side in the 35th minute.
After the interval, Pitea restored its two-goal lead as Katrina Guillou set up Skoog to make it 3-1.
Emma Viklund wrapped up the goals for Pitea in the 79th minute from Selina Henriksson’s assist.
Anam saw 89 minutes of action before she was replaced by Linnéa Westbom and she has scored four goals in five matches for Pitea this season.
Her compatriot, Faith Michael was an unused substitute for Pitea as the team moved to the fourth position on the log with 11 points after five games.
Up next for Imo and her teammates is a league encounter with IFK Norrköping on Thursday, May 4.
