Stanley Nwabali Set for Chippa United Return Ahead of 2026/27 Campaign

Nigeria goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is closing in on a return to Chippa United ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The 30-year-old parted ways with the South African club earlier this year after both parties agreed to terminate his contract following his return from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. Nwabali played a key role for Nigeria at the tournament, helping the Super Eagles secure the bronze medal with a penalty shootout victory over Egypt.

According to reports, Nwabali has returned to South Africa and is currently training with Chippa United as the team prepares for the new season under head coach Brandon Truter.

The Nigerian international previously impressed during his spell with the Chilli Boys and now appears set to reunite with the club as they continue to strengthen their squad for the upcoming campaign.
