U-20 FIFA World Cup: NFF confirms Flying Eagles departure date for Argentina

Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Dr Mohammed Sanusi has confirmed that the Nigeria U-20 team will depart for Argentina on May 6.
In two weeks time, the Flying Eagles will play their opening match at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina and the NFF scribe also assures of tune-up games during their final training camp in Argentina.
“All I can tell you is that the team is leaving Nigeria on May 6. They will play quality friendlies in camp,” Sanusi told Brila FM.
“The NFF Head of Technical Department can speak on the targets set for the team as far as the World Cup is concerned as Ladan Bosso works under the Technical Department.”
Flying Eagles will slug it out against Brazil, Italy, and the Dominican Republic in order to scale the group phase of this year’s FIFA U20 World Cup, holding between 20 May and 11 June.
Africa’s number three team was slotted into the interesting group D of the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
