‘Anything can happen in football’ – Alloy Agu backs Victor Osimhen for Ballon d’Or

Former Nigeria International, Alloy Agu believes Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen deserves the Ballon D’Or best player of the year nomination.
Osimhen has was in blistering form last season to lead Napoli to a Scudetto title after 33 years wait and Agu is optimistic about’s Osimhen chances of winning the Ballon D’Or following his impressive stats for club and country.
“For the Ballon d’Or, it’s a good thing that we can have our own in the nomination,” Agu told Complete Sports.
“And anything can happen as far as I am concern just like in football. This is all about God and with his performance for Napoli for last season, I want to believe he deserves his spot.”
Osimhen topped the goal scorers chart in the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers with ten goals in six appearances.
He has found the back of the net three times in four appearances this season for Napoli in the Serie A.
After scooping seven points in four games, the Partenopei are seated in fifth position.
