Nasarawa Amazons and Abia Angels Secure 2025/26 NWFL Premiership Super Six Spots 

Nasarawa Amazons and Abia Angels have confirmed their places in the 2025/26 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six following positive results on Matchday 17 on Wednesday.
In Lafia, Nasarawa Amazons edged Sunshine Queens 2-1 thanks to a brace from Bibiana Odoh. Chigozie Idika had opened the scoring for the visitors in the 10th minute before the Solid Babes staged a late comeback.
In Lagos, Abia Angels played out a goalless draw with Dannaz Ladies, securing their Super Six qualification.
Elsewhere, Osun Babes maintained their push for the top with a 1-0 victory over FC Robo Queens in Ile-Ogbo, courtesy of Nofisat Tijani’s decisive goal.
Bayelsa Queens recorded a 2-0 win against Heartland Queens in Yenegoa, with goals from Aminat Folorunsho and Sofiat Bankole.
Delta Queens ended Remo Stars Ladies’ Super Six hopes with a commanding 3-0 win in Asaba, featuring strikes from Temitope Titilayo, Vweire Samson, and Rita Tsebee.
Rivers Angels, already qualified, dominated Ekiti Queens 4-0 in Port Harcourt through goals by Patience Otubo, Abasiofon Uwah (brace), and Zainab Oduga.
In Benin City, Ibom Angels drew 1-1 with Edo Queens, with Jessica Mark canceling out Esther Inyang’s opener.
Adamawa Queens also secured a victory over relegated Naija Ratels FC, thanks to goals from Miracle Isioma Nwakolie and Ifeoma Damian.
Relegation was confirmed for Confluence Queens following a 3-0 defeat to Ahudiyannem Queens in Iyahmo, with Mary Lucky scoring twice and Loveth Edeth adding another.
With one match remaining, Bayelsa Queens, Edo Queens, Rivers Angels, FC Robo Queens, Nasarawa Amazons, and Abia Angels have qualified for the Super Six.
Naija Ratels FC, Pacesetter Queens, and Confluence Queens are set for the second-tier NWFL Championship next season.
