Super Falcons to Face Sudan or Comoros in 2028 Olympic Qualifiers

Nigeria’s senior women’s national team will face the winner of the first-round clash between Sudan and Comoros in the second round of the qualifiers for the 2028 Olympic Games.

The draw ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Cairo, Egypt, on Wednesday.

The Olympic qualifiers are structured as five knockout rounds, with each tie played over two legs in home-and-away fixtures.

Sudan and Comoros are scheduled to meet in the first round between June 1 and 9, with the victor advancing to challenge the Super Falcons.

The second round, featuring Nigeria, is set to take place from October 5 to 13. Ultimately, two African teams will secure spots at the women’s football tournament at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Nigeria, alongside Zambia’s Copper Queens, represented Africa at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.
