Nottingham Forest hails Taiwo Awoniyi’s impact in bright Premier League start

Nigerian striker, Taiwo Awoniyi has received special commendation my his club, Nottingham Forest for his incredible impact to the club’s brilliant run in the new Premier League season.

The Super Eagles’ forward started the new campaign just as he ended it with the club with scintillating performances that was accompanied with match winning and point saving goals for the club.

Awoniyi was instrumental in Forest’s relegation survival battle last season, netting crucial goals and had continued from where he left off last season, scoring three goals with two assists in the just five weeks old season.

His goal in Forest’s 3-2 loss to Manchester United saw Awoniyi equal Mohamed Salah and Emmanuel Adebayor’s feat of scoring in seven consecutive game which stretched back to the tail end of last season.

Nottingham Forest celebrated Awoniyi with a special photo and caption after his assist was able to rescue point for the Triky Trees against Burnley.

Awoniyi is also replicating his club form at the national team level as he was on score sheet when Nigeria hammered Sao Tome and Principe 6-0 in their last African Cup of Nations, (AFCON) qualifying match.
