Chuba Akpom Seals Permanent Move to Ipswich After Promotion to Premier League

Chuba Akpom has completed a permanent transfer to Ipswich Town after committing his international future to Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

The move follows Ipswich Town’s successful return to the Premier League, having secured promotion as runners-up in the English Championship behind Coventry City.

Both Ipswich and Ajax confirmed the deal, stating that the transfer was completed for an undisclosed fee, with Akpom signing a three-year contract.

However, reports indicate that Ipswich paid around £7 million for the striker, with speculation suggesting he could be loaned out to a Championship side next season.

Akpom, 30, initially joined Ipswich on loan with an option to make the move permanent. During the past Championship campaign, he scored two goals in 29 appearances.
