betPawa celebrates Women’s FA Cup Round of 16 winners with historic locker room bonus

betPawa has made history by awarding its first-ever Locker Room Bonus (LRB) to the winners of the Women’s FA Cup Round of 16, recognizing the hard work and dedication of players and technical staff.

Eight victorious teams from last weekend’s matches received the winning token, with each player and three technical staff members from the teams being awarded GH¢400 as part of the Locker Room Bonus program.

The winning teams are Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Hasaacas Ladies, Rootz Sistaz FC, Faith Ladies, Northern Ladies, Sung Shining Ladies, Jonina FC, and Fosu Royals.

This initiative follows betPawa’s announcement in November 2024 to extend its groundbreaking player appreciation program to cover the Women’s FA Cup, from the Round of 16 through to the final. The Locker Room Bonus aims to honor the players who are the heart of the game.

N- Yanyimaya Gnabekan of Ampem Darkoa Ladies expressed her gratitude, stating, “It’s amazing to see our efforts rewarded. The Locker Room Bonus is more than just money; it’s recognition of our hard work and commitment.”

Ampem Darkoa Ladies’ coach, Stephen Sarkodie, also echoed the sentiment, sharing that the bonus was a significant recognition of the players’ determination.

The Locker Room Bonus program is designed to provide swift, direct rewards for players after each match.

Players who make the matchday squad list receive their winning bonuses directly to their mobile wallets, immediately after a match win.

This efficient process ensures players receive their rewards before leaving the stadium, hence the name “Locker Room Bonus.” Introduced in Ghana in 2022 for the Ghana Premier League (GPL), the LRB program has now expanded to include women’s football.

Each player and three technical staff from the eight winning teams in the Women’s FA Cup Round of 16 will receive GH¢400 for every match they win, marking a historic moment in Ghana’s women’s football.

The full list of teams that reached the Round of 16 includes: Ampem Darkoa, Hasaacas Ladies, Jonina FC, Anlo Ladies, Rootz Sistaz, Sissamba Ladies, Soccer Intellectuals, Faith Ladies, Fosu Royals, Northern Ladies, FC Savanna, Ashtown Ladies, Tuutingli Unity Ladies, Blacoe Soccer Academy, Sung Shining, and Dreamz Ladies.
