Bundesliga: Nathan Tella’s return boosts Bayer Leverkusen ahead of Frankfurt clash

By Wale Mustapha

Nigerian winger Nathan Tella has returned to training with Bayer Leverkusen ahead of their upcoming Bundesliga match against Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Super Eagles forward had been sidelined since suffering a hip injury during the team’s encounter with Bayern Munich two weeks ago.

The injury kept Tella out of action for last weekend’s 2-0 away victory over Holstein Kiel.

However, the 25-year-old has resumed training with his teammates, although he worked individually in the latter stages of the session, as reported by BILD.

While Tella’s return to training is a positive sign, his availability for Leverkusen’s clash with Frankfurt remains uncertain, and he is considered a major doubt for the match.

This season, Tella has contributed three goals and three assists in 30 appearances across all competitions for Die Werkself, and his potential return would provide a significant boost to the team as they look to continue their strong Bundesliga campaign.
