Emmanuel Dennis Strikes Late to Seal First Brøndby Goal in Win Over Viborg

Nigeria international Emmanuel Dennis delivered a dramatic late winner as Brøndby IF secured a 1-0 victory against Viborg FF in their Danish Superliga clash at Energi Viborg Arena on Wednesday evening.

Coming off the bench, Dennis made an instant impact by finding the net deep into stoppage time. The forward reacted quickest to a loose ball from a set-piece situation and calmly slotted past the goalkeeper to hand Brøndby all three points.

The goal marked a significant personal milestone for the 28-year-old, as it was his first for the Danish club after 383 minutes across eight appearances without scoring.

Speaking after the match, the former Watford and Nottingham Forest striker expressed his delight at both the team’s performance and his breakthrough moment. He highlighted the importance of the win and described the goal as a confidence boost early in his time with the club.

Dennis also praised Brøndby’s supporters for their continued encouragement since his arrival, acknowledging their role in helping him settle in.

During his stint in England, Dennis registered 20 goal contributions—12 goals and eight assists—in 52 Premier League appearances. He last featured for the Nigeria national team in 2022.
