CAF Confederation Cup: Rivers United arrive Cote d’Ivoire for Etoile Filante duel

Rivers United have arrived Cote d’Ivoire 48 hours to their CAF Confederations Cup tie against Etoile Filante at Yamoussoukro.

The 20,000 capacity Municipality Stadium in Yamoussoukro will host the game which will kickoff by 7pm on September 17.

The former Nigeria champions weren’t in action in the first round of qualifiers following their fantastic performance last season which made them on hold when the first round was played.

Rivers United landed at the Félix Houphouët Boigny International Airport Abidjan Cote D’Ivoire on Friday afternoon.

The Pride of Rivers finished in third place at the last NPFL to settle for a CAF Confederations Cup place.

Rivers United recently defeated Enyimba International 2-0 in a friendly to be in shape for the continental matches.
