Europa League: Cyriel Dessers leads Rangers to emphatic win against Malmo FF

Nigeria international Cyriel Dessers played a pivotal role in Rangers’ 2-0 victory over Malmö FF, marking a strong start to their 2024/2025 Europa League season.

Dessers provided an assist for Nedim Bajrami’s opening goal just one minute into the match.

This assist is his third of the season across all competitions, showcasing his excellent form in the Scottish Premiership.

Ross McCausland added a second goal for Rangers in the 76th minute, sealing the win. Dessers’ compatriot, Leon Balogun, was an unused substitute in the match.

So far this season, Dessers has scored six goals across all competitions, with three in five appearances in the Scottish Premiership and another three in two League Cup matches.

The victory propelled Rangers into fourth place in the Scottish League.
