Glen Johnson blasts Chelsea authorities for failing to sign Victor Osimhen

Former England international, Glen Johnson has slammed Chelsea for making a huge mistake in landing Victor Osimhen in the transfer window.

The Blues were at the forefront of signing the Nigeria international from Napoli but they couldn’t meet his asking wages while offering a ridiculous low amount which Osimhen rejected.

Johnson couldn’t understand why Chelsea failed to sign the Super Eagles forward who is one of the biggest striker at the moment.

He however criticized the Blues for spending huge money signing youngsters who wouldn’t play a major role in the club this season.

“The obvious one would be Victor Osimhen. He was the big name that they wanted but didn’t get,” Johnson was quoted by Betfred.

“They’ve signed loads of youngsters that may not be in the team straight away, despite spending a lot of money on them, and I think Osimhen is the big signing that they’ve missed out on.”

Following the breakdown of the Chelsea’s deal, Osimhen teamed up with Galatasaray on a season loan deal from Napoli.
