Joseph Atule scores twice as Enyimba thrash Bayelsa United in NPFL friendly

Reigning Nigeria Premier Football League, (NPFL) champions, Enyimba thrashed Bayelsa United 4-1 in a preparatory for their African Football League, AFL clash against Wydad Casablanca.
The friendly match that was played at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa as Enyimba geared up for the continental engagement.
Chijioke Mbaoma fired Enyimba in front in the 25th minute following a brilliant team effort.
Eze Pinto doubled the lead for the reigning NPFL champions before the end of the first half
Second half substitute Joseph Atule increased the scoreline to 3-0 as he capitalized on a let off in Bayelsa’a defense in the 65th minute.
The former Katsina United and Lobi Stars playmaker got his brace of the match with five minutes to see out the game.
Bayelsa United were able to give their disappointed fans something to part with as Isaac George scored Tue consolatory goal in the added time.
The match will help both teams to assess their readiness for the new football seasons, notably for Enyimba who will be representing Nigeria at the AFL next month.
